This tablet is good for games, social networking, and web browsing. This entire review is based mostly focusing on the price. It is a bit laggy on responding to touch inputs and is a 5 point multi touch screen. Typical cell phones now are full capactive touch which means any and all contact with the screen can be processed at once. The screen on this tablet can only process 5 points at once which makes it act different than what we have all grown accustomed to. For doing one thing at a time it's great. Facebook then check email move onto some web browsing then play a game and its great. Its a giant android 4 smart phone basically. If you want a buttery smooth PC like tablet this is not for you. If want a smartphone with a giant screen to play with apps this is cheap and perfect.

The application that I am using this on is not your standard server type of application. I needed to replace the motherboard on an Intellex Ultra (commercial dvr for a camera system).

The motherboard powered up and started, but there were incompatibility issues with my system. This board had a Google Mini bios on it and it did not like my configuration. I swapped bios chips from the bad motherboard and it loaded fine.

The reason for the 4 stars is because of the bios. I think that in most circumstances that the board would work fine, but is the Google Mini bios a factory bios or something the seller requested extra?

Either way the board worked and I am happy I saved a lot of money.

I bought this when the item was incorrectly listed as having HDMI and display port connectors.
I was able to get a price adjustment from the seller and purchased an "active display port to DVI-D" adapter and was able to get full resolution with no dead pixels.

Note to use this monitor w/ display port, the display port needs to be able to drive 2560x1440.

The monitor does work well but only has brightness controls and can only display in 2560x1440 (it doesn't have scaler hardware).

I did not try the monitor with windows but the EDID reported to Linux was wrong,

I used the following to get the monitor working on linux:

xrandr --newmode "2560x1440_codesim" 241.50 2560 2608 2640 2720 1440 1443 1448 1481 +hsync -vsync
xrandr --addmode DP1 "2560x1440_codesim"
xrandr --output DP1 --left-of LVDS1

DP1 is the name of the display port interface on the laptop and LVDSI is laptop display.
Running "xrandr" with no options will display this information.

Four stars since the monitor did not have a scaler card.

We paid $3.99 extra and received the lamp the day after ordering it. The installation was super easy! And that is saying a lot coming from us. He actually just walked in and said he couldn't believe how easy the installation was - I think he was shocked that the picture came right up. He is absolutely thrilled to have his TV back in time for the football game. The picture looks great right now. Now fingers crossed the bulb lasts!!
