I've bought four of these monitors from wally world, and each was half the price that this seller (IP Camera Store) is selling them for here.

I bought two of these a few months ago for a dual monitor setup and I've been locing the first pair so I got two more for a second dual monitor setup.

Now I've been using them strictly for work so I don't know how they would work for any sort of fast paced gaming, but maybe I'll take three of them home this weekend and try them out.

Great keyboard. The back lights works great and the quality of the keyboard is really good. I like the small footprint of this keyboard and the feel of the mechanical switches too. I purchased the one with Cherry MX Browns. I thought about the clicky ones but with a baby in the house I figured I should try to keep the volume down a bit.

So far so good with this keyboard. The caps lock key is red when ON so is the "Windows Lock key", num lock and scroll lock keys. I've tried some of the ultra compact keyboards like the Happy Hacking keyboards and the KBT Pure but really missed the dedicated arrow keys!

Pros:

great feel to keys

has replacement keys with the Superman, Batman, etc. symbols on them!

Cons:
wished it came with a red ESC key!

I will try to update this in about 12 weeks of use. So far it's great.

The HP cartridges were as described. New,in original package. It was a better price than retail and reasonable shipping time. My HP printer is an ink hog so I got the extra large this time. We shall see if there really is more ink in them. I'm thrilled to find the ink at a better price on Amazon vs retail,it ain't cheap either way! I have never had an ink problem but the printer warns that the ink is low when there is a lot left so I always wait until it really is out to change the cartridges. HP seems to have quite an ink racket going on. Shame on them!

RMG/EMTEC Studio Mastering Tape 900 Series/ 1/2'x2500' 10.5' Review

Great tape!

Using on a Tascam 38 with no DBX. Bias to 4db and adjust the meters so you can run +6 to +9 (tape can handle +9). Very little tape noise. If you have an older deck or one that cannot handle high level tape, I would reccommend SM911 instead. On my second roll now and sticking with it.

Where I stay, energy prices are near 0.25 US$ per KWh. In this building, we have approx. 50 computers running. With many old machines around, that makes for a hefty energy bill.

No, we do not do much "gaming" (Who on earth has time for gaming these days ??), but graphics capabilities of the MoBo should be "reasonable" - so to speak. Watching a Video or Animation should not become a show-stopper. This MoBo offers a HDMI interface, so far I only evaluated using the VGA.

Yes, we need energy efficient machines with a small footprint. That's why I prefer Mini-ITX.

Whatever computer hardware we buy today: Face IT: It will be e-waste just a few years from now. The smaller the footprint of the soon-to-be garbage, the better.
The pattern seems to be: New computer every 3 years, up to a max. of 5 years. The sad story about computer electronics is that they are extremely wasteful both in production and life-cycle. They just don't last very long, today's excitement is tomorrow's trash.

AMD answered to the Intel Atom D525 with the integrated chipset Hudson M1. I have versions of both Intel and AMD Motherboards on the bench, but the AMD clearly wins the contest. I have no hard data to substantiate that, but my subjective judgement should be enough here.

The setup: This MoBo, a 2 Gig-Stick of Kingston KVR1333D3N9K2 Memory, a no-frills apex-mi008 case, 500Gig HDD, DVD burner. That setup will replace a bunch of 5 year old office machines, and I'm looking forward to a pleasant relief on the energy bill.

In conclusion:
The Windows XP setup here works quite nicely. I have TOO MANY existing licenses for XP and I still do not see the light with Windows 7, and I'm not going to waste resources. I did a Test Installation with Windows 7 and it likewise feels responsive, even snappy with standard applications, Office, file transfer, browsing, etc. I bet under Linux it would perform equally or better.

Slip-streaming the AHCI Driver into the Setup was tedious under XP, it took almost a day to accomplish, but now - this box is just flying. Enabling AHCI on this MoBo made a noticeable difference for disk access performance in this case.
