Since 1998 I have purchased no fewer than seven different brands of external hard drive enclosures. This is one of the best I have owned. It's loaded with six 6-Gb/s 10.5k hard drives and 2 solid state drives. The unit is driven by a PCIe 2.0 SAS card installed in a 16-core dual processor workstation.

The workstations run 24x7. They're not always under load, but the hard drives get a serious workout. The system has been up and running for months with no problems whatsoever. We did a time trial of this unit versus a similarly configured competitor. Ths Sans Digital won hands down.
