I bought this through work to store video files from my Canon 7d, and I love it (only had it one week, though). Back up speed averages ~15Mb/sec, connected to pc with usb or ethernet(no real dfference between the two). Drops to just above 7Mb/sec when hooked up via ethernet to my router. Not really sure if this could be faster (please advise if someone knows how), but it's better than what I had.The only thing that's a little problem: I use ethernet to back up data (mostly video and music), but I have to use usb to transfer to tv (which, in turn runs through receiver and the big speakers). I have to unplug the usb at the base of NETDISK or it won't recognize ethernet cable. Not a huge thing, but would be nice if it somehow knew which cable was feeding information and activated that one on it's own.
