No, we do not do much "gaming" (Who on earth has time for gaming these days ??), but graphics capabilities of the MoBo should be "reasonable" - so to speak. Watching a Video or Animation should not become a show-stopper. This MoBo offers a HDMI interface, so far I only evaluated using the VGA.

AMD answered to the Intel Atom D525 with the integrated chipset Hudson M1. I have versions of both Intel and AMD Motherboards on the bench, but the AMD clearly wins the contest. I have no hard data to substantiate that, but my subjective judgement should be enough here.

The setup: This MoBo, a 2 Gig-Stick of Kingston KVR1333D3N9K2 Memory, a no-frills apex-mi008 case, 500Gig HDD, DVD burner. That setup will replace a bunch of 5 year old office machines, and I'm looking forward to a pleasant relief on the energy bill.

The Windows XP setup here works quite nicely. I have TOO MANY existing licenses for XP and I still do not see the light with Windows 7, and I'm not going to waste resources. I did a Test Installation with Windows 7 and it likewise feels responsive, even snappy with standard applications, Office, file transfer, browsing, etc. I bet under Linux it would perform equally or better.

Slip-streaming the AHCI Driver into the Setup was tedious under XP, it took almost a day to accomplish, but now - this box is just flying. Enabling AHCI on this MoBo made a noticeable difference for disk access performance in this case.
