Supermicro SuperServer 5017C-URF Barebone System - 1U Rack-mountable - Intel C216 Chipset - Socket H2 LGA-1155 - 1 x Processor Support - Black SYS-5017C-URF Barebone SystemsSupermicro Server Barebone System (SYS-5017C-URF) Review
This is a very well-built chassis and while not what a "normal" person would call quiet, it is the quietest 1U server I have used. There are P4-era servers in my rack that are louder in the power-off standby state than this is while running at full fan speed. It includes both power cords and all the screws you might need to install drives, plus a large assortment of other screws which must serve a purpose for someone. The rails are really well made (and simple, which is a feature) and there is a 2nd set included for shorter racks as well as some adapters to help fitting various configurations.
It is part of the 'flexible IO' series of servers (I think that's what the U in the name stands for) so it uses a SFF-8087 (mini-sas 4i) -> 4x SAS/SATA cable to connect to the backplane. If you are going to use the onboard SATA ports you will need to run your own (longish) cables in place of this. In that case you should perhaps consider the SYS-5017C-MTRF version with the C202 chipset and 1 PCI-E full height slot, which is configured that way by default. If you are installing a SAS controller, you can just plug in the single connector and be on your way.
There are a couple info sheets included, but you should download the PDF manual from SuperMicro for all the details.
