I purchased the item for video conferencing via Skype and or GO TO Meeting. The equipment was easily installed with crisp, clear video. I was extremely disappointed in the microphone having to nearly yell from distances over 12 inches.

I would not recomend this product for any application other than for installing on a laptop where you are only inches from the microphone or purchase a higher quality microphone with adjustable gain.
