Got this, installed a 60GB SSD and 4GB of RAM, installed Ubuntu and then XBMC on top of it. The current Live versions didn't like my hardware, guess it is too new? It plays back my BR backups that are 1080P H.264 and down mixes the DTS-MA/HD Lossless tracks to two channel stereo just fine for me. I can't speak for using it for any sort of TV tuning as I have a main HTPC for that.

It also has an okay GPU in it, ran an N64 emulator at a reasonable resolution and looked way better than my actual N64 playing the same game over S-Video (Diddy Kong Racing, which is a low res game, so not really a fair match up). Completely playable frame rates the whole time.

The downsides:
It doesn't come with a PC speaker or IR receiver (it has headers for them on the board though).
I attempted to install an ATI 5450 I had laying around for a bit more gaming umph, system wouldn't even post or go into bios with it installed, took it out, booted right up.
The LED bar under the 5.25" drive bay is way to bright, but easily defeated by clipping the wires going to it and making sure they can't short out to anything. Side benefit was that I could clearly see the HDD access LED now.
The SATA cables were a little shorter than worked for me, so I used a cable I had laying around the longer of the two they supplied.
