I was leaving the country to live in Africa for a couple years and bought several of these for our computers and electronic equipment. Has worked perfectly. No need to worry about the computer and Internet going down every time there is a power outage. Power outages happen here at least 3-4 times a day. Fortunately, there is a back-up generator, but there is nothing more frustrating than the computer rebooting every time the power goes off and comes on. It has been a life saver.

One gripe is that the sensor on battery level does not seem to work, putting the computer in hibernate during short power outages. Since all the power outages here are 2-3 minutes before someone turns on the generator, I just disconnected the cord between the computer and the UPS. Problem solved.

I LOVE MY LAPTOP! It works great. It has everything I wanted and needed except for Lightscribe and a light-up keyboard (not offered by Compaq). I like Compaq, because the delete key is in the upper right hand corner of the keyboard, easily found without having to look for it.

Canon BJC-2100 Bubble Jet Printer Review

I bought my Canon BJC-2100 about a month ago as a stop-gap. My old printer had died, and I was a little tight on money.I have been very satisfied with this printer in the time that I have had it. Canon seems to have made some improvements over the BJC-2000, most notably the separate cartridges for black&white and color. I did a little checking before I bought this, and the black&white replacement cartridges only cost about $10 (compared to over $30 for some other printers) while the color cartridge (all colors are in this one...there are no separate color wells) was about $25. This printer has given me very acceptable results. Quality has been fine, but not spectacular. Speed is OK, and I have not had to worry about any paper mis-feeds.... ThinkPad USB 3.0 Secure Hard Drive - 750GB Review

Main use: Backup and data transfer drive for confidential company information and technical data.

I've only owned this product for a few days (the 500GB version), but here's my thoughts so far:

Cons:
1) Setup is a bit weird since it's all through the keypad, but the step action directions in the documentation get you the results you need.
2) Drive is a little too big to fit in a small to medium sized pocket.
3) I bought it bundled with a new Lenovo ThinkPad (purchased directly from Lenovo) and the price was lower than anywhere else I could find, including here.

Pros:
1) Feels very sturdy.
2) The covering has a nice non-slip texture to it
3) The features of this device are very good. This is not some half-attempt at security implemented in software... your computer doesn't even know the drive exists until you unlock it. And locking again can be accomplished by either setting a timeout (if the drive goes unused for 30 minutes for example) or by pressing a single button on the keypad (the red one).
4) I have a USB 3.0 motherboard and I'm getting drag and drop write speeds in explorer in Windows Server 2008R2 on the order of 14MB/s. This is plenty fast for my needs.
5) Quiet.
6) Comes with a stretchy carrying case that includes a mesh pocket to hold the Y-cable. Alternatively, the USB plug on the device tucks in flush in the hard drive's case for tidy self-storage if you won't be needing, or cannot use, the Y cable.

Overall I'm very pleased with this drive. If I could have bought a SSD with comparable features in a competitive price range, I would have gone that route instead; but this is one of the few applications where disk drives are still very practical.

Yamaha DGX-205 76-Key Portable Keyboard with MIDI and Built-In Song Sequencer Review

I bought this keyboard a month ago for the sole purpose learning piano. I was not aware, at that time, tons of other features that pleasantly surprised me.

This is a "Portable Grand" keybooard, and as the name implies, the piano sound is excellence! It is so realistic my jaw dropped. Even my friends who have played piano before admits the sound is extraordinary (key is touch sensitive for expressive playing too). I plugged (you have to buy the cable yourself tho) it in to my home theatre system (good power 6.1 system). Lo and behold, the low sound like it is coming from the real thing and the high is crystal clear. I can almost hear the sound of the wood hammer on the steel string.

One of the special voices features in the voice database is called "sweet" voices. There are only a few choices available, namely, flute, tenor and soprano sax. These are the ultra realistic, blow your socks off kinda sound. For example, in the sweet soprano sax, if you hold the key down, the sound will become louder as if the sax player is blowing more air into it. You can actually hear the sound of the air rushing through the tube too. The sweet soprano sax actually sound like Kenny G's playing. Yamaha might model the sound after Kenny's. It never fail to amaze me. For the sweet flute sound, the way you play it fast, hard, or light on the keyboard actually give you a different sound and feel.

The cons are the the keyboard does not come with anything. Not even the dang battery charger or USB cable. It does come with a very helpful DVD that features a real Yamaha instructor doing some amazing demonstration on the keyboard. The DVD will cover most of the important features like, voice, style, song and metronome of the keyboard. You will learn and be amazed at the same time. It also come with a CD with driver and sample midi for you to connect the keyboard to the PC.

For less than $300, this is a really good deal for the quality and money. I highly recommended it to anybody who is picking up the hobby.
